Project competition programme Brigade provides support to creative ‘squads’, which by the help of art and culture are able to improve urban environment in Riga and its surroundings, develop local communities, solve social problems and create financially sustainable solutions, thus facilitating the economic growth.

 

In the framework of the programme:

• ‘squads’ are offered various ‘tools’ or measures that help elaborate and/or improve solutions;

• the best ‘squads’ are supported financially to implement the solutions;

• unused commercial premises are offered in the framework of DUKA;

• the best solutions / solution parts are promoted and popularised, in order to encourage others to use art and culture as the main tool.
