04.09. White Night. Contemporary Art Experiment Workshop for children and young people OTHERS WILL SEE THAT I AM WORRIED with artist Eva Vēvere

Contemporary Art Experiment Workshop for children and young people (8-15 years old) OTHERS WILL SEE THAT I AM WORRIED with artist Eva Vēvere (please apply in advance: mara@lcca.lv) at The Ojārs Vācietis Museum.

The visual artist has chosen a theme related to the feeling of anxiety and worries within the framework of the contemporary art experiment workshop.

The choice of the theme is explained by the artist herself: "This year has marked a new level of anxiety to be dealt with - in connection with the global situation, digitalisation, limitations."

It is currently important for the artist to work with text conversion into objects, this method will be integrated in the workshop, successively offering 5 different creative processes - experiments, each related to a specific technique and anxiety-related topic - isolation, information, transformation, balance, etc.

Five tasks of varying intensity will allow you to interact with paper and material - from very disturbing ways - to tear, growl, wrinkle, cut, to more controlled and peaceful activities - to glue, fold, shape, work with text and image.

All materials needed for the workshop will be provided.

Number of participants: 20. Duration 2 h.
