Krishna Reddy

Krishna Reddy (1925–2018) was a master printmaker and sculptor from India who ran the prestigious Atelier 17 print studio in Paris from 1965–2018. Reddy studied sculpture under Ossip Zadkine and met with Constantin Brâncuși in the French capital before furthering his studies in London and Milan. Reddy’s abstract prints deal with the complexity of nature and meld styles from Europe and South Asia. Apart from his art practice, Reddy is also recognised as a dedicated teacher who created his own school of thought and propelled young artists and thinkers into successful artistic careers with his generous voice and advice. For Survival Kit 10, a series of Reddy’s prints incorporating clowns in his distinct style of printmaking is re-interpreted by Nasr-eddine Bennacer in Paper Trampoline.
