Can a Man change his Future? How does Future affect our Today? Whether and why the modern man fears Future, at the same time hoping for a better one? What and how makes the future of our civilisation on the whole and what – our personal future. Thoughts and speculations, ideas and feelings, myths and delusions, capabilities and opportunities – manifold questions and answers about and around Future discussed by the participants of the interactive art project “Talking portraits” both in presence and video versions. The participants – scientist Mārcis Auziņš, psychotherapist Viesturs Rudzītis, social anthropologist Roberts Ķīlis, astrologist Ivo Puriņš, parson Juris Cālītis, theatre director Māra Ķimele and writer Gundega Repše. This was an opportunity at the eve of the “White Night 2011” to meet some of those people in person and as your own big and small, tricky and naïve, serious and silly questions about Future. Questions about the development of my, our, their and the World’s Future, in which each and every one of us has a significant role. Are we aware of our role? Are we playing it responsibly?
