Performance "Rix Vexation: Hysteria as a Starting Point"

Latvian and German artists explored the socio-cultural context of SURVIVAL KIT 3 through the access of a hysteria discourse. In addition to being an epidemic in society, hysteria is also a semiotic and aesthetic phenomenon. It can be perceived as a bodily language, a physical form of expression. The symptoms here function as part of a system of codes to communicate subjective and cultural (dis-)content.
