Artist's Bio:
Liene Mackus obtained an MA in sculpture at the Art Academy of Latvia, studying for one term at the Accademia di Belle Arte di Palermo in Italy. Mackus works with plasticine animation which she calls “the moving sculpture”. Mackus has participated in projects “The Lion of Kabul”, “Basic Element” (group “Anna Varna”) and “HUGO” (together with Maija Mackus and “Very Cool People”), and festivals and exhibitions: 2 ANNAS, Autumn 2008, Autumn 2009, “Gāzīte”, “Survival Kit 3” and others.
