Foor for a Rainy Day
Art-Food performance
What have you learnt from the changes in recent years in Latvia and the world?
I was born in Mexico, where there is a crisis all the time. Survival there is a way of life, and the more creatively you do it, the better and more interesting it is for you and those around you. That’s why I smile when I hear the word “crisis” and live on, just as creatively as before.
How does your project for in SURVIVAL KIT 2 fit in with the Festival theme?
My work is called Food for a Rainy Day. With this I want to invite others to return to the beginning, to remember, how our ancestors once lived, to think about the fact that we should be thankful to our country for the flavours it gives us as well. And how the artist invites one to be creative and to look for new Tastes.
Why haven’t you left yet?
Love, love and once again love is what keeps me here in Latvia.
