The Tasty creative space provides the opportunity to see an international exhibition dedicated to the first lomography camera, which has already travelled about half way around the world. The exhibition consists of three parts.
The Detrich Collection – in the distant 60’s and 70’s analogues or the so-called clones of the Diana camera were created – each with its charm, special details and unusual graphic elements, as well as really interesting names, like for example Debutante, Zodiak or Future Scientist!. For a number of years Allan Detrich collected Diana camera’s many different clones, until he created a collection of more than 100 of them. In 2007 the Lomographic Society obtained this invaluable collection and in honour of this the Diana World Tour was created.
Secondly, a surprise will also be provided by Latvian artists, transforming Dianas according to their tastes. And a no less important part will be Diana’s photo story collection: also known as Diana’s vignettes - short, impressionist scenes, which reflect a specific moment or experience. Whatever this moment may be like – romantic, adventure filled, intense – documented by a Diana camera in a short film, it reveals life and its beauty in a square format photograph.
During the exhibition, various creative Diana workshops will also take place.
