Arturs Bērziņš

No title (a moment)

Paintings, 2011

had a vision of this series while sitting and reading a book. There were various things going on around me. All at the same time. All my senses got engaged. And I realized that a single series of works have to represent – reflect one second in someone’s life. This frozen second contains everything – what one heard, smelled, caught a glimpse of. And it is clearly stated that everything is happening in one particular space and time. In this series I explore the reality of human existence the way we perceive it every day. (A.B.)
