Quievreux’s work for the festival SURVIVAL KIT 3 will be created on the walls of the exhibition hall. It will be the author’s personal idea about the imaginary future influenced by what he has seen in Riga, read about it and seen in the news before, by phrases from reports, documents and financial reviews. All of these come together and forms a vision of future; a vision which frequently reminds one of a depressive dream. During the festival the comics magazine kuš! will publish Leo Quievreux’s visual story Future is Now.
Artist's Bio:
Leo Quievreux is an illustrator and comic’s artist as well as a musician with an impressive discography. His works have been printed both in French and international publications, including the Latvian magazine of comics culture kuš!. His experimental work has appeared in the publications by the Avant-garde art group Le Dernier Cri and the underground publisher Gotoproduction. Leo Quievreux has recorded over 10 music albums together with different musicians.
