Film programme "Marginality and Revolution in Short Format"

This programme, put together by Anna Veilande-Kustikova, presented films that document events connected to the slow revolution or directly reflect changes in the thinking and interests of today’s society. At the screening, there was a brief commentary prior to each film contextualizing it within the thematic scope of Survival Kit 5.

Anna Veilande-Kustikova is a moving image researcher, curator and lecturer who explores the expressions of the contemporary on screen and in projections by viewing the historical and contemporary examples from both visual arts and film.

The film programme was organized by Riga International Short Film Festival 2ANNAS that searches for and introduces viewers to innovative forms of visual communication from across the world. The aim of the festival is to promote the European and world cinema in Latvia, as well as to view the developments and trends of the Baltic film within the global context.
