Animal Depression. Lecture-performance by artist Gernot Wieland
Gernot Wieland's lecture deals with the relationship between humans and animals, and the mechanisms of power and control that are involved. Balancing between truth and fiction, Wieland's narrative is full of historical facts, tragicomic events, humor and irony.
Gernot Wieland also directed a potato print workshop titled Potatoes and Psychodramas.
The workshop consisted of practical exercises – e.g., the making of several potato prints – and included personal stories, psychoanalysis, imagination and concentration. It drew attention on the self, the other and the use of language, and it took place in a fun and relaxed environment.
