Ryoji Ikeda is one of the most renowned Japanese creators of electronic music, who not only utilizes the most characteristic basic elements of sound, but also successfully uses the qualities of light. "datamatics [ver.2.0]" was a long-term project which consisted of many parts – a moving image, sculptural elements, sounds, new media technologies and geometry of sound and image interplay. The visionary aspect of his work spurred the imagination to contemplate a future model of a utopian city.
