Survival Kit 8

International Contemporary Art Festival Survival Kit 8: Acupuncture of Society

Curated by: Solvita Krese and Inga Lāce

08/09-25/09/2016

Aristīda Briāna Street 9, Riga

"The occult represents a world of values and behaviours that opposes the establishment and the powers that be, offering sometimes radically alternative ways of conceiving society, politics and the self. In this sense, it is perceived as inherently revolutionary." — Marco Pasi in Coming for by Night, for Survival Kit 8

Survival Kit 8: Acupuncture of Society proposed to look into the entanglements between art and esoteric practices, occultism and acupuncture, geometry and politics, fauna and the end of the world, as well as many more, to open up our thinking about the history and present day of art.
