Tanel Rander, Šelda Puķīte and Indrek Grigor spoke on the topic that Rander described as “The Mole, larger in size than ever seen before” situated on the Estonian/Latvian border town of Valga/Valka. The project of the same title investigates provinciality and failure as quasi psychological phenomena in relation to the border condition of Valga. The starting point of the discussion was the centripetal force of the capital in relation to geographical distance and why the periphery was neglecting attempts of gentrification.
