Presentation of artists Jussi Kivi and Kristaps Gulbis

Jussi Kivi walks in the footsteps of old landscapes painters. He makes outdoor expeditions on foot and skis and records what he sees and experiences by writing, photographing, writing and videotaping. His notes record times, places, weather conditions and maps. They tell of both the ruggedness of nature and traces left by humans.

Kristaps Gulbis studied Sculpture at the Art Academy of Tallinn. Since the mid-1990s, he has taken part in numerous contemporary art projects in more than 20 countries. He has been co-curator of the Sculpture Quadrennial Riga 2004 and 2008. His work Pink House was shown at the 51st Venice Biennale.
