Sound artist Maksims Šenteļevs created a soundscape using a self-made kokle. During his lifetime, the self-made kokle served as a means of communication with the spirits of the past. By playing the kokle made by a deceased person, people from all over the world could reach the soul in the afterlife.
The next day, we started with a tea ritual and stories about the art of tea with Katrīna from Illuseum, who has been practicing this for more than six years. Katrīna said that "the tea ceremony is not only an exotic sensory experience of other cultures, but also helps cultivate inner peace, awareness, and presence in everyday life." We invited everyone to bring a mat and a blanket to enjoy a slow Saturday morning!
