SPA FOR MIND at Hotel Neiburgs

Internet magazine "Satori" and restaurant "Neiburgs" together with the artist Katrīna Neiburga on September 26 invited the public to the fifth "Brain Spa" dedicated to the contemporary art festival "Survival Kit".

The thematic focus of the twelfth edition of the Survival Kit festival was the aging and survival of society. The festival took place in nine different locations - in the memorial museums of writers and artists. The work of Estonian artist Mia Raadik “Menopause Club NB! Exclusive” can be seen at the Hotel Neiburgs.

The building where Hotel Neiburgs is located is also a kind of memorial point - before the hotel was furnished, apartments were located in it, and one of them was inhabited by the head of the Latvian Center for Contemporary Art, curator Solvita Krese, gathering around the bohemian of the late nineties.

Solvita talked to the artist Andris Brežis and the curator Kaspars Vanags about what was life in this place at that time. Alongside the conversation in "Neiburg", an exhibition of works made in Brezhnev in the eighties and nineties was opened.

For the event, the restaurant offered a menu corresponding to the nineties.
